WRT Mt Rainier Semi-finals

Number 1 will play number 2 in the final of the World Racquetball Tour (WRT) Mt Rainier Open in Seattle, Washington, as 1st seed Alejandro Cardona and 2nd seed Polo Gutierrez both won their respective semi-finals matches Saturday evening.

Both won in two straight games, although Gutierrez’s win was a narrower victory, as he defeated 3rd seed Jake Bredenbeck, 15-9, 15-14, to advance to the final, while Cardona beat 4th seed David Horn, 15-12, 15-2.

Also of note, Jake Bredenbeck and Sebastian Franco's run of doubles titles ends at two, as they lost in the semi-finals to Mario Mercado and Andree Parrilla, 15-14, 15-13. Mercado and Parrilla will play Alejandro Cardona and Danny Lavely in the final, as Cardona and Lavely defeated Alejandro Almada and Polo Gutierrez in the other semi.

The final will be Sunday at noon PST, and can be seen live via the WRT website.
